I started out as a data engineer and ended up building the platforms other teams ship on. For the last few years I've been one of the Principal Engineers behind Cabify's data and ML platform, fully remote from Spain. I built a self-service platform from scratch where data scientists deploy their own apps and models to production without going through me; I rebuilt how ML models get served, leaving the platform running on half the resources and, for some models, up to ten times the previous traffic; and I brought in the technology that now powers their real-time analytics and dynamic pricing. I look after that platform end to end, including the part that keeps it running at 3am.

Before Cabify I did similar work at Rollbar, processing billions of events in real time and cutting infrastructure costs by half, and earlier at Accenture. Fifteen years in now, moving from data engineering to building platforms — the last five fully remote, at a Principal level.

What drives me is building platforms people actually want to use, keeping them simple under load, and all the infrastructure behind making AI work for real — model serving, feature stores, and lately AI agents on Kubernetes.
